WHAT ARE CHEMICAL PEELS?

A chemical peel is a treatment in which an acid solution is used to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin. Typically administered as a facial peel, a chemical peel enhances and smoothes the texture of the skin. It is an effective treatment for facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation.

Glycolic Acid Peel

The glycolic acid peel is an excellent treatment to diminish the ravaging effects of time and to enhance the skin's overall appearance. Glycolic acid is designed to loosen dead cells from the skin leaving a clean, fresh look. Cosmeceuticals are then applied to supplement the skin and to assist in correcting specific conditions. This medical grade glycolic acid peel is available in four different strengths - 20%, 35%, 50% and 70%. Your medical aesthetician will determine which strength to use according to your skin type.

Beta Lift Peel

The Beta Lift is a state of the art chemical peel that has redefined the traditional superficial peel.  This treatment uses beta hydroxy acid and is used primarily to reduce acne lesions and enlarged pores.  This peel will exfoliate dead skin cells and will stimulate a burst of renewal within the skin to bring fresh, healthy, young living cells to the surface.  Beta Lift is also able to penetrate the skin follicles making it a well suited peel for conditions such as acne, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and enlarged pores.

PCA Peel with Hydroquinone

This enhanced Jessner's formula is for those who want an even skin tone and have no sensitivity to hydroquinone. It will help to quickly lighten pigment discolorations of any kind, such as melasma and hyperpigmentation. In addition, this peel helps inhibit active acne. The results driven peel includes other ingredients like Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Kojic and Citric Acid.

Sensi Peel

This gentle solution is formulated primarily for ethnic skin and other extremely sensitive skin types.  The Sensi Peel will strengthen and brighten the skin while helping to treat sun damage and other forms of hyperpigmentation.  This multi-faceted treatment also provides anti-inflammatory, anti-acne and anti-bacterial action, making it an excellent choice for helping to calm rosacea as redness and inflammation can subside substantially after just one treatment.  Key ingredients in this peel are Lactic (12%), TCA (6%), Kojic, Azelaic and L-Ascorbic Acid and Arbutin.

Ultra Peel I

Specially formulated to treat dehydrated, maturing skin, Ultra Peel I is also appropriate for many other skin types, conditions and sensitivities. It will help treat pigement disorders, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damaged skin and acne. This treatment is especially ideal for sensitive skin, as it produces only a mild tingling sensation. Mild to moderate exfoliation will be experienced.  Overall, the final result will be plump, hydrated and luminous skin. Key ingredients in this peel are Lactic (20%), TCA (10%), Kojic, Azelaic and L-Ascorbic Acid.

Esthetique Peel

An excellent treatment that can be used alone or in combination with any other PCA Skin treatment for smoothing, firming and brightening of all skin types, even sensitive skin including rosacea and acne. Its advanced formulation of lactic acid and retinol, along with a host of polyphenols, antioxidants, vitamins, humectants and brightening ingredients, improves the texture of skin, and also helps correct many types of discolorations. Key ingredients, Lactic Acid (20%), Retinol (vitamin A-10%), Glutathione (amino acids), Kojic and Hyaluronic Acid, Honey, Bilberry extract, Boldine extract, Grape Seed extract and Lycopene.
